FAFNIR’s TORRIX and VISY STICK level meters make up a family of high precision level probes combined with unprecedented robustness and simplicity of operation, installation and maintenance.
What is it about?
They are level measurement probes by magnetostrictive technology that can measure level, volume and mass of the product, as well as the interface with water.
The Torrix model comes in versions with rigid probe up to 6 m long, flexible probes up to 15 m long, or 6 mm diameter probes for very small tanks. The different versions include outputs 4 to 20 mA, HART and / or Modbus (which includes 5 temperature spots with PT1000 probe).
The Visy Stick model is part of the inventory management system Visy X, is presented in rigid versions up to 6 m and flexible hastya 15 m. They can measure level, average temperature, volume, volume compensated by temperature, interface with water and product mass (incorporating a density sensor).
How does it work?
They use the magnetostrictive measurement principle to accurately measure the distance at which the product float and the water float are positioned along the probe, and therefore determines the level and other parameters as a function of the position Which takes the float in the liquid to be measured. For the average temperature measurement incorporate 5 PT1000 temperature probes.
What problems does it solve?
They are ideal probes for measurement in horizontal cylindrical tanks containing liquid fuels or even LPG, for which it has special floating and specific assembly kits.
They can be used for precise measurement in additive tanks. Flexible probes allow their use in bulk fuel dispatching plants, for example for agriculture, mining or other applications with large volume consumption.
The Visy Stick probe in conjunction with the Visy X inventory management system make up a complete inventory management solution for groups of up to 16 tanks. Customized SCADA solutions can be integrated to cover more tanks.
